The Cape Cads brand of photo insert cards was the brainchild of Sharon and Jeff Bellas.
Sharon took scenic nature photography of New England’s very own Cape Cod. She wanted to find the perfect packaging for her photography so she could sell the photos to tourists at local gift shops. After lots of research they decided there wasn’t anything that was currently being produced that they wanted to use so they began to design this line of beautifully simplistic cards with matching envelopes.
The cards became so popular that other photographers and individuals wanted to use them. Jeff and Sharon started to produce larger quantities in more colors to keep up with the demand. After many years of marketing and growing their business Jeff and Sharon wanted to retire and Winthrop-Atkins, who had been manufacturing the cards for them, decided to acquire the business.
Today Cape Cads cards are used by professional and amateur photographers across the country to display their work. Many people also use our cards to send candid photos of loved ones to family and friends.
